A few days ago I took the kids to Build-A-Bear to pick up some new friends. Thanks to some awesome coupons and gift cards we got some good stuff. Hannah already has three friends, so we got the other two kids their own. Jacob got "Camouflage" and Ellie got a puppy that she LOVES! I kept trying to get her to go for the cute flowery, pink bears, but she would have nothing to do with them and only wanted this cuddly puppy. Jacob was thrilled with his bear.

Old Chicago Field Trip
Today we went on a field trip to Old Chicago's with the Mommy Co-Op Preschool. We got a tour of the kitchen and got to make our own pizzas. The kids had a great time and the food was delicious!
Claire Mahan, Jacob Luke, Reilly Crawford & Avery Crawford making pizzas.
Ellie had a great time making her pizza "by herself." It was great!

The Expander
Hannah has officially started her orthodontics. A week ago she had her spacers put in and this morning they inserted her expander. She was SO nervous! She ended up crying through the entire process and then got so worked up that she threw up 3 times when we got home. She took 4 naps throughout the day and refused to speak or eat. She walked around all day with a pad of paper and a pencil and writing me notes. (It took her a few days to decide to eat. Food would get stuck and she would get frustrated and decide not to even try. Life seems harder when you are hungry for some reason, and it was pretty hard for a couple of days there.)
Hannah's new BLING
Exhausted from the morning appointment.
Jacob was entertained in the snow today!

Playing with Turkeys
Ellie came upstairs with Hannah's Build-A-Bear Turkey costume hat on her head and was DETERMINED to get the little costume on as well. She was SUPER mad at me when I told her that I couldn't make it work. As soon as I said "Let's take a picture," she brightened up and was as happy as a clam again.
Daddy got home from work today and promptly turned into a play thing. He is great at jumping in a playing with his kiddos. They sure love it and I'm pretty sure he does too, even if he does get trampled, hit, and bounced on... a lot!

Entertaining Daddy
Actually we were entertaining the kiddos today at church while Daddy was on the stand conducting the music for Sacrament Meeting. We decided to send him a little picture to let him know that we love him! "Hi Daddy!"
Sleepy Time
Ellie was super tired tonight and decided to snuggle with her Daddy. This involved getting sung to as well. Ellie LOVES getting songs when she is upset or ready to go to sleep. Here is a snippet of her bed time routine.

Will You Be My Valentine?
We are pretty excited for Valentine's Day tomorrow at our house! We have been preparing our Valentine's for our friends and for each other. Tonight at dinner we were talking about our Valentine's and Jacob said that his Valentine is Emily, our babysitter. He sure gets smitten by cute girls. He wanted me to take a picture to send to Emily. Hannah also wanted me to take a picture to send to Abby Redfearn in North Dakota to ask her to be her Valentine.

King Sooper's Field Trip
Today we went on a field trip to King Sooper's with our Mommy Co-Op preschool. We had a fun time wandering the store with our friends and getting treats. The kids mostly were excited to get from one station to the next to get a treat. We went to the pharmacy and received suckers. Then we walked through the back and saw the extra storage areas, the fridge and freezers, the delivery trucks, the bakery where we received a cookie, the deli where we received a slice of cheese, and the floral department where we each got a balloon! Wow! We had a ton of fun! I think with a few extra families we had 22 kids.

100th Day of School
February 6th is the 100th day of school for Miss Hannah! She gets to make a poster of 100 items and we decided to do 100 pieces of fabric. We had fun coloring, cutting, counting, and gluing this poster together. Here is Hannah's finished project.
